Gas transport vehicles

The design and manufacture of complete gas trailers in cooperation with leading vehicle manufacturers is an important part of our supply program.

We propose road-approved articulated trailers pre-equipped with gas cylinder bundles, composite tanks or large-volume tanks for the transport of compressed gas in compliance with GGVS and ADR.

Swap body

Wystrach trailer swap body

The flexible BDF saw body can be loaded with gas cylinder bundles of 12 and 16 and is another of our new products. It can be used for various gases like CO, H2, N2, Helium or natural gas. Especially for long vehicle standing times, the swap body is an economically more efficient option. Since no main frame is parked, there is no real capital tie-up. It is practical, flexible and efficient: The gas cylinder bundles can be removed from the trailer fast and smoothly and be placed in the standard pool of bundles.

The hot-dip galvanised swap body has 4 foldable support legs and a central grillage gangway. The frame is made of highgrade fine-grain steel. The weldment has a tunnel, a robust smooth outer frame and a stable top plate. Swivel-mounted stairs and an additional door to operate the controls are also characteristics pursuant to the ADR type approval regulations. The frame features the clamping devices for a permanent bundle-fixing.

Acetylene trailer

Wystrach 200bar Bündel 3D-Ansicht

We have recently introduced a new innovation to our range of products, the acetylene trailer. The trailer is approved for use with "Class 2, 4F UN 1001 Acetylene" types of gas and offers, with approval according to the ADR and design type approval according to appendix A, chapter 6.8 of the ADR, a particular level of quality that has, until now, been unusual in this sector.

The double-sided steel construction with 16 pockets for the storage of the cylinder bundle is equipped along the sides with collision guards. The cylinder bundle is secured from above by two clamps fixed to a rotary shaft that can normally only be opened with compressed air from a pneumatic cylinder but in an emergency can also be opened manually. At the rear of the chassis, there is a stairway secured by railings to enable access to the platform walkway.

Features

  • Approved types of gas: Class 2, 4F UN 1001 Acetylene
  • Material of frame: hot-dip galvanized fine-grain steel
  • Suitable for 16 gas cylinder bundles
  • Lateral collision guards
  • Central grillage gangway

Trailer system

Wystrach 200bar Bündel 3D-Ansicht

Here we use both steel and composite tanks. They are fastened on the vehicle frame perpendicular to the travel direction in a honeycomb configuration with rubber spacer pads. Easily accessible piping and simple assembly methods enable the creation of a highly versatile and cost-effective global system.

For the transport of hydrogen, 295 tanks are fitted to the trailer. Total volume: approx. 25,000 litres. Particularly high storage capacities are attained with “composite tanks”. 240 units provide a total volume of approx. 39,600 litres. Operating pressure: 200 bar.

Design, manufacture and assembly of gas transport vehicles, testing, processing and repair, government inspections carried out in house by Wystrach... Take advantage of our full service package for high-pressure supply systems!
